Treetops

This self-contained room faces the sunny north, and gets sun from sunrise to late afternoon. The room has a bed, wardrobe, study table and a kitchen. Make your meals and enjoy birdsong from your room. Private bathroom included.

Prepare your own breakfasts with tea/coffee facilities we provide in the kitchenette and the equipment.

Free parking is on the street outside the house, and you will have a private keyed entrance. The private ensuite is just inside the entrance door and the bedroom is at the top of a short flight of stairs.

Two outdoor decks which get morning sun and which offer native bush views are available for your use. Feed the birds or just soak up their song from your treetop room.

Location

Facilities in and around Titirangi Village (5 min walk away) are restaurants, cafes, library, community marketplace, takeaways, wineshop, pharmacy, supermarket, service station, post office, osteo, physio, doctor, optician, church, and an extended-hours dairy.

The alcove kitchen has general facilities for food preparation and cooking, a sink, a microwave, an induction cooktop, a toaster-oven, utensil storage and a underbench refrigerator.
We supply various teas and Jedd's coffee for the plunger coffee maker.

Sunrise greets you each morning.

In the bathroom there's a shower, a heated towel rail, well-lit handbasin/mirror, and a toilet.

Option: Jewellery tuition

It is hard work sometimes but always a lot of fun! And rather educational.

Chirldren have a particular affinity for making things.

And they can get very precise sometimes.

In my teaching I like to encourage a short burst of experimentation and spontaneity (using copper to practise on), then I will help you do your chosen designs onto the silver. So have some fun with a hammer and anvil, tell a story with symbols stamped into the metal, do a wacky texture. Or take it quietly and make a beautiful plain silver ring band.

Fee for one person: $NZ60, two people: $NZ80. Includes the tools and sterling silver.

We make jewellery from our Bush Jewellery studio.

We each make jewellery of our own designs and we sell at various New Zealand stores and galleries.
Including at the local Te Uru Gallery in Titirangi.

Brian also teaches jewellery-making classes: students of jewellery starting out on a new career, children curious about making stuff, and adults who are interested in having a go.

A specialty is the one hour silver ring session.
